This huge and interesting wall is the work of Barcelona based artist Sergio Hidalgo Paredes also known as Sixe Paredes who spent a few weeks working on this new mural for LGZ Festival curated by STREETKIT in Moscow.
The new piece, painted under sometimes extreme weather conditions in the Novopodmoskovni pereulok neighbourhood is very representative of his work..
Even if it sounds like a cliché these days, this multidisciplinary artist started his career doing graffiti in the 80s which evolved into an abstract universe endowed with bright shapes and symbols that emanate both simplicity and complexity at the same time. His influences are to be found in the urban landscape, popular and ancient cultures and nature, all of them very present in his work and which have given way to a new world of psychedelic multicoloured abstractions like the one we appreciate here. Wonderful piece.
