This new mural installation, if you can call it that, is the work of Swiss artist Tika who spent a few days in Cologne creating this fantastic piece for CityLeaks 2013.
The new wall, entitled “Queen Of The Night” is a wonderful mix of painting and small interventions in silver and white paper which enhances the ephemeral quality of this kind of work. When referring to the mural the artist adds:

“the firmament in a womans body

a minidress of sparkling stars
kneeling on the earth
laying her full hair over the sunset
bracing the cities in sleep…”

A beautiful and interesting interpretation.
