Violant-Portugal-1

Portuguese artist and muralist Joao Maurizio also known as Violant recently published this new piece entitled “AP 16.3”  and located in Entroncamento, depicts a river covered by blood and filled with dead fish.
The mural makes reference to the growing pollution in Portuguese rivers and according to the artist, quoting Fernando Pessoa‘s “Oh salted sea, how much of your salt are Portuguese tears?” the mural refers to his feeling of being Portuguese pointing to the relationship between sea and water.
