After a long stay in Argentina and his last mural in Brisbane, Fintan Magee is now in Sydney where he recently painted this new piece entitled “Home Ownership”.
The new piece may refer to the dream of having your own house. Home ownership is a key cultural icon in Australia and the Australian government has encouraged over the years broad-scale home-ownership through tax incentives; as a result, 70% of households own their own homes. However home-ownership in modern Australia, is becoming more exclusive and the great Australian dream of home ownership is becoming a fantasy.
