Nelio is still in Argentina where he recently collaborated with two established Argentinian artists, Poeta and Roma, on this new wall somewhere in Villa Ballester, Buenos Aires.
Mixing bright colours with geometric and more organic forms, Roma’s style is both playful and abstract being his urban works generally abstract explorations of forms and colour. Poeta’s pieces on the other hand combine bright, bold colours and lines in puzzle-like compositions made of organic and geometric shapes and figures. To the whole we can add Nelio’s lovely abstract imagery influenced among other things by graphic design, architecture and his own childhood memories. His work talks an unknown language inspired by primitive art, alphabets and symbols, but also from Modernism.
The result is a vibrant and balanced mural where the different approaches to geometry and the painted surface coexist in perfect harmony. Cool that the guys are having fun!
