Belgian artist ROA just finished this huge mural for the Public Forms festival in Perth, Australia.
This new mural reminded me of the one he painted in Mexico City last year , but giving form to the image of a Ouroboros or Uroboros an ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon eating its own tail.
The Ouroboros often symbolize self-reflexivity or cyclicality, but it can also represent the idea of a primordial unity that cannot be extinguished. It could also be that there are a lot of snakes in Australia, hehe…
