A lovely piece by Spanish artist José Hevilla painted for the second edition of Encuentros Interartísticos celebrated in Cordoba, Spain.
José Hevilla or José Maria Hevilla Villalobos (his full name), is a young artist from Malaga graduated a couple of years from the Facultad de Bellas Artes de Málaga who works the figurative still, both when it comes to canvas and street pieces.
In the last time he has been working on a couple of series entitled Running to Nowhere and 24 Hours Closed where the artist focuses on the little value we put in things, everything turns to be disposable goods, the speed of society, we never stop before the most beautiful things, we just keep running to nowhere.
So far, so near’s meaning features the portrait of a man sitting on either his studio or another artist’s studio, holding a book between his hands and paying attention to the viewer, inviting us to take part of the depicted scene.
