Wasted Love III

Wasted Love III (above) is the third of a series of murals by Greek artist Fikos all painted in Athens where he lives and works.
Even the topics are not taken from Christian art and of Greek history and mythology, the style is always iconographic. According to Fikos he started studying Byzantine art at a pretty early age, after a while he started collaborating professionally with his mentor for 5 years painting murals in Orthodox churches and at the same style developing his own style.
The result is a wonderful mix where he introduces a Byzantine iconographic technique into a modern trend like street art.
