After the Road Trip series and his last mural in New Orléans in January, French MTO is now in Riga where he just finished this mural for the Blank Canvas Festival.
Entitled “I don’t like brick walls so Im Just going to tag!”, the new mural seems to express a shared feeling about… well, brick walls. Best known for his hyperrealistic black and white portraits, MTO has conquered the Street Art scene becoming a respected artist. This new piece is both fun and well executed and a nice addition to this years festival. MTO’s explains the piece as follows:

I didn’t like much the wall which was proposed to me but i defenetly liked the area. The piece is situated in the yard of “Brasalona”, an evolving artistical and technical complex :

Quote from their FB page :
” Brasalona is an evolving space at Gaujas street which is already the home of The Artists’ Union of Latvia gallery “Art”, Latvian music label “Dirty Deal Audio”, “Rīgas Darbnīca” that popularizes the use of recycled materials in the creation of design and practical objects and also Brasalona is the home of other creative initiative authors. “

If you happen to be around you can find it on Gaujas iela 5, Riga.
