Monumental Black and white portraits are German artist and muralist Hendrik ‘ECB’ Beikirch‘s speciality. This new mural was recently painted by ECB in Port Charlotte, Florida for Wall Therapy 2014 .
Beikirch, known for his outstanding photorealistic portraits focuses on the meaning of each face he paints which are not only related to specific figures, but also represent the people and the culture behind them:
“these are portraits that do not try to thwart or break the mood of our cities, but share a silent companion with us. the portraits on the walls represent both the people behind them and those who populate the streets.”
