Swiz–Géométrie-Alphabétique-Les-Extraits-8

As announced a couple of days ago, French artist Swiz opened last night his latest solo show at Libraires Les Extraits in Rueil-Malmaison near central Paris.
Géométrie Alphabétique or Alphabetical geometry showcases a completely new body of work created for the occasion and like its name may suggest consists of words camouflaged in geometric compositions of great beauty.
The gallery, located in the basement of the bookstore Les Extraits offered eight new paintings on wood, a beautiful installation made of transparent fabrics and a wall painted for the occasion next to the parking place (images below).

Drawing his inspiration from everything from aerial photography to electronic circuits, his graphic experimentation has led him to develop a unique style playing with words and typographic rules. In this way Swiz strips traditional graffiti from stylistic effects returning to the simplicity of the original letters, letters that the artist juxtaposes in new ways giving form to a completely new and personal language.

The exhibition will be open until January 31 at Les Extraits located on 43 Rue du Château, 92500 RueilMalmaison.
