Spanish artist Daniel SAN Muñoz is now in Puerto Rico where he just finished this new mural titled “Ius Sangunis” (Latin: right of blood) a principle of nationality law by which citizenship is not determined by place of birth but by having one or both parents who are citizens of the state.
As in the rest of his work, Daniel Muñoz’ pictorial language  is composed by symbols and codes that invite to a careful reading, something between the narrative of classical painting and sociological discourses of contemporary art and despite the fact that his work often expresses mundane situations, they always invite to reflection and a deeper understanding.
