Russian artist Morik made it to Miami for this year’s Art Basel during which he painted this lovely mural.
For the occasion, he decided to paint something close to the spirit of the city and the Cuban community in Miami inspired by the Cuban migration to the USA, because, according to the artist, and well (almost) everybody else, everybody has the right to a better life.
Owner of a very personal style Morik’s canvases and walls show a unique approach to paint where figuration and surrealism meet abstraction giving shape to provocative deconstructed images. Just like the one we see here. Certainly one of the best pieces (imo) of this years street art party in Miami.
