A few weeks ago Pastel and Agostino Iacurci where in Miami during the Miami Art Basel where he decided to collaborate in this new mural titled “Pollination” which the artists explain as follows:

“We define “Pollination” as the process by which pollen (cosmopolite element) is transferred from the anther (main part) to the stigma (accessory part) of the plant. Thereby enabling fertilization and reproduction. This takes place in the angiosperms, the flower bearing plants.

The pollen transport could be done by many agents, called pollination vectors.” – Pastel

Agostino Iacurci’s work is characterised by an illustrative stroke, bright tones and flat, colored backgrounds where the desire to speak to its public becomes essential. Pastel’s on the other hand focus on a figurative imagery where plants and other natural elements play an important role, always highlighting a more conceptual approach to the wall, just like here with “pollination”.
