The duo Etam Cru was recently in Australia invited to take part of the first edition of the WonderWalls festival in Port Adelaide.
Sainer and BEZT painted for the occasion this massive mural, expression of their characteristic figurative and dreamy style, showing the image of a young man in a vintage royal uniform with his eyes covered by what it seems to be, two female hands and finding as usual, recurrent elements in their imagery, like the white rat giving their mural an almost magic appearance.

This mural and the one on the other side of the building by ASKEW and Elliot Francis Stewart as a tribute to the Kaurna People, are the first of their kind in Adelaide. Other than a visit from Hitnes last year with paintings in Semaphore and the city, we haven’t experienced a large scale mural (9 storeys high) before so hopefully it will show the way forward. Beautiful Port Adelaide has many empty walls as does other industrial parts of Adelaide so I hope this is the beginning of Adelaide as a major street artist’s destination.
