Vhils dissonance Next Friday 27th of March Lazarides Rathbone will be opening a new solo show from Lisbon-based artist Alexandre Farto, also known as Vhils. Titled Dissonance this new exhibition concludes the Portuguese artist’s recent series of international exhibitions and presents a powerful new body of multidisciplinary work, featuring figurative compositions comprised of wood, billboard, metal and Styrofoam dioramas. Exploring notions of increased saturation and dilution of personal identities in contemporary urban societies, this new body of work speaks of the ways our personalities seem to dilute and become lost to the dissonance that results from the chaos engendered by technology, visual communication, mass media and urban development. The exhibition runs from 27th March 2015 to 23rd April 2015 at the gallery located on 11 Rathbone Place, London, W1T 1HR. Admission is free   Dissonance Vhils dissonance 3 Vhils dissonance 4 Vhils dissonance 5
