WAONE_Catania_1WAONE, Interesni Kazki’s other half, was also in Catania, Sicily where he painted this new and symbolic mural titled “L’Eterno Ritorno” or “The Eternal Return”.
The mural is a surrealist representation of The “Seeing Eye of Helios” with solar shine, running on the “Sandglass of duality”, an interpretation of one of the most ancient solar symbols and a symbol of passage of time known as “Triskelion”. A triskelion is a motif consisting of three interlocked spirals, three bent human legs, or three bent/curved lines extending from the center of the symbol and according to ancient Greek mythology an ancient symbol of Trinacria, Helios’ Island or Sicily dating from the time when Sicily was part of Magna Graecia, Helios was also the Titan god of the sun and the guardian of oaths and the god of gift of sight.
Nice interpretation.
