Barcelona based artist Raquel G, aka Labuena ylamalaspent recently some time in Poland as part of the Beyond Time artist in residency program in Bielsko-Biała curated by Galeria Bielska BWA.
Known for her sculptural work and abstract murals, her work can best be described as an ethereal obsession with movement and balance. It talks about forms in space, and the movement which is originated through them creating an interplay of curves, lines and planes that give shape to dynamic sculptures characterized by both linear and volumetric forms. One of the two pieces she created during her stay, and a clear example of this is STALOWNIK a floating sculpture made of junk found around an abandoned hospital in Bielsko-Bala.

The second piece, titled DANDELION, is an interesting abstract composition that uses different planes and layers that overlap creating new perspectives and depth. The work is dynamic and manages to make us, the viewer, to wander through its geometric and energetic visual landscape.
