The Serbian twins Sobek and Kcis, also known as Sobekcis, where until recently in Mannheim, Germany invited to take part of the Stadt/Wand/Kunst event, an open air art gallery part of Mannheim’s Kulturelle Stadtentwicklung.
Also named the Os Gemeos of the Balkans, each of their pieces is an explosion of vibrant colours and movement where the artists successfully manage to mix figurative graphic representation and letter-based imagery with the characteristic horror vacui tendencies that follow most of their art.
The word ‘Motion’ as the mural was titled, is certainly something that comes to my mind when appreciating this mural, reading their work one discovers a new detail after every glance on the surface filled out to the last and littlest fragment, or maybe they missed a spot on the roof? A beautiful addition to the city that can be found on Zeppelinstraße 20-24 in Mannheim.
