Last 18th of March launched Wood Street Walls ‘Paint your London’, an event consisting of a series of murals created during the last weeks around the Walthamstow, Leytonstone, Leyton & Chingford areas.
Paint Your London is part of Wood Street Walls mission to raise awareness over an increasing need for more affordable artist workspaces in London.
So far have more than 15 pieces of public art being painted across Waltham Forest by a wide range of artists including the internationally acclaimed Conor Harrington, Remi Rough, Phlegm and Maser, as well as prominent local artists such as Mark McClure, ATMA and STATIC who themselves have experienced being pushed to work in other boroughs due to the lack of affordable studio space.
Wood Street Walls – a collective of artists and professionals based in East London- formed in 2014 by Mark Clack & Tom Jackson in response to report findings that highlighted the poor provision in the borough of Waltham Forest.

Next in line is Maser who will be covering the entire façade of the disused music venue The Standard on Blackhorse on 11th April. Check the full schedule here.
