Melbourne-born artist Reka spent two weeks working on two murals for the ongoing project Art United us in Kiev, Ukraine.
According to Reka, the two murals, titled “Mother and Daughter”, were influenced by Kiev’s unique architecture and especially the large monument “Mother of Motherland“. The two murals connect together to depict a mother’s love for her Daughter, a theme that has been explored through elements of female forms in motion, almost flowing like the river. The action of passing down knowledge to the
next generation of Kiev.
Art United us is curated by photographer Geo Leros, curator Iryna Kanishcheva and artist and muralist Waone Interesni Kazki.
