manolo-mesa-lioni-italy-1“Il incontro con la foresta” (The Encounter with the Forest) is Manolo Mesa‘s newest mural recently painted in Lioni (Av), Italy for the Bag Out Biennale “A.Garofalo“.
The new mural is a result of the artist’s experience after visiting Lioni for a second time. Its mountains full of interesting myths and traditions, and of course its people.
It was as he walked through the streets of Lioni in company of Sebas Velasco, that they came with the idea of pay an homage to the people of Lioni and their relationship to the land when working in the fields.
There are two murals in this street there; one by Sebas Velasco (on the right) and the one featured in this post painted by Manolo Mesa and which depicts an old man holding a hen. Both murals depict the close relationship between a man and its land.
