After a great participation in this year’s Muraliza Festival a few weeks ago (here), Add Fuel is back with “WITH IN THREE”, a lovely mural created for the Rebuliço Festival in Abrunheira, Portugal.
Painted over an electricity tower and promoted by União de Freguesias de Abrunheira, Verride and Vila Nova da Barça, the Rebuliço festival brings according to Add Fuel urban elements into a more rural environment, three civil parishes gathered by one common goal hence the title of the mural.
Once again Add Fuel reinterprets and inserts the traditional Portuguese azulejo in his work, and can be identified with the artists desire to identify himself as Portuguese, but also to reflect about the significance of tradition, what it means for us and how we can preserve it in a fast paced and technologically advanced modern world.
