The Croatian Boombarstick Festival, the result of a collaboration between Croatian and French cultural association, brought recently its magic to Paris, the festival’s second home.
For this occasion the organisers decided to take part in the ‘Portes Ouvertes Des Ateliers D’Artistes 2016’ event, running a series of activities like exhibitions and workshops organised by several Parisian galleries as a sort of “spin-off” of Boombarstick and inviting Italian artist Giorgio Bartocci to paint a mural in Bagnolet, about 5km from Paris.

“Liquid Modernity” as this new mural was titled, is representative of Giorgio Bartocci’s work characterised by a fluid and energetic composition where the focal points are many and seem to invite the viewer into a dynamic dialogue by forcing them to navigate through the painted surface in every possible way.
The mural has been described by the organisers as “a kaleidoscopic cross-section of contemporary society’s faster and faster ‘features & fades’ restyled by a suggestive post-graffiti ‘stream of consciousness’.”
