Contorno Urbano launched recently the second edition of “12+1”, a unique street art event at l’Hospitalet de Llobregat in Barcelona, being Spanish Irene López León the first one of a nice selection of participating artists.

The “12+1” project is an open-air art gallery that features a different work of art each month, created on the same wall. According to the organisers the project seeks to question the way we exhibit street art, and the place of these artworks have in our urban surroundings.

This years line-up includes names such as Irene López León, Roc Blackblock, Iker Muro, Hosh, Miedo 12, Miquel Wert, Pati Baztán, Elbi Elem, Fernando León, Edjinn, BYG and Laura González Llaneli.

Irene López León, born at l’Hospitalet de Llobregat, defines her work as “Landscape painting”. In her compositions, geometry, impossible perspectives, organic elements and hypnotic architectures are combined to transport us into a dreamlike and vibrant new world.
