PlasticMurs gallery will be opening next week Vacui a new solo show featuring the work of Spanish artist Mario Cosin aka Omega TBS.

An active member of the Graffiti Crew TBS, from which he has been part of since 2007, Omega TBS graduated in 2010 at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Valencia his hometown. From a very young age he developed his own illustrative language with characters with a style close to the underground comic, where he reflects his vision of the current urban society.

His body of work consists of predominantly drawings in ink on paper, occasionally coloured with watercolors or markers, but also numerous digital pieces as well as traditional graffiti.
The tittle of the exhibition, Vacui (Latin for Empty) is nothing but the opposite of what Omega TBS’ work shows. Overfilled surfaces where no free space is to be found. Human-like figures drown in abstract shapes and details that seem to juxtapose each other. Details and clean lines and forms abound, a high narrative intention emerges in the scenes they represent, trying to show in this way its particular vision of the human kind.

The exhibition consists of 9 paintings in spray and acrylic on PVC board using a grey colour palette and 12 watercolours that are worth the visit alone.

Vacui (or Horror Vacui to me) will open on February 3rd and will run through March 10th at the gallery located in Called Denia 49, Valencia, Spain.
