After “Slight Presence of Transparency“ (here), painted last year in Kiev, Argentinian artist Elian is back with this new mural painted in Buenos Aires, Argentina for Ciudad Cultural Konex, a space dedicated to alternative, innovative and avant-garde cultural activities.
Titled “Manto/Veladura”, the new mural is characteristic of Elian’s work where the use of subtle gestures and strong and contrasting colour choices give shape to a vibrant and elegant mural. As seen in some of his recent murals, Elian adds a delicate transparency effect to the primary colours for this piece, creating in this way depth and movement in the composition.
According to Elian his search is developed on the behaviour of pure colours and their overlapping. Once again the white background recesses giving room to a saturation of geometric and organic shapes that saturate the wall’s surface and correspond to the central point of the facade.
