Italian artist, artivist and ephemeralist Biancoshock put recently to life a series of installations in the streets of London as part of his ‘Seven Modern Deadly Sins’, a project curated by and presented at Unit 5 Gallery London for the In Depth group show that, according to the press release, “shines the spotlight on the often clandestine yet ever expanding world of street art sculpture.”

In Depth, Unit 5 Gallery’s inaugural group exhibition, counts with the participation of renowned artists like Axel Void (ES), Ben Eine (UK), Herakut (DE), Hin (HK), Isaac Cordal (ES) and Biancoshock (IT), just to name a few of them, presenting an amazing collection of sculpture, installation, and three-dimensional works that will be on view until 26th February 2017.

One of the works presented at the exhibition is an installation by Fra.Biancoshock part of his new series of deadly modern sins. Biancoshock describes the work as follows:

In a historical period dominated by a desperate pursuit of success and affirmation, by the fear of unknown, some basic virtues are being trampled and ignored.
These values are often seen as obstacles rather than opportunities for a spiritual growth.
The seven installations were placed in different locations in London. The shape of the head, the shoes and the blood are typical items belonging to human beings and they show as these virtues are intrinsic to humanity and part of its nature.
The yellow cards next to the corpses indicate some keywords revealing the cause of the homicide.

BIANCOSHOCK

For a very long time he didn’t consider himself as an artist, until, one day he decided to understand the purpose and the nature of his work.
Soon becomes clear that there is no existing “category” that can fit his urban inclination, typical of the Urban Art, and his expressive process which is very close to the classic  activist and performative art; this is the reason why he decides to give birth to EPHEMERALISM.

Ephemeralism has the purpose of producing works of art that have to exist briefly in space but limitlessly in time through the photography, the video and the media.
He  has realized more that 750 interventions in the streets of Italy, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic,  France, Germany, England, Estonia,  Hungary,  Lithuania, Malesia, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovak, Slovenia and Spain and he is not thinking about stopping.

He has participated in some of the most important Urban Art festival, he presented “Ephemeralism” project in various universities (including Milan, Foggia, Ljubljana, Bratislava and Zagreb) and at TEDx Oporto 2014 (www.biancoshock).
