Spanish artist Lula Goce is one of the talented artists participating of this year’s Memorie Urbane festival organised in Terracina, Italy.

Painted in a soft palette of light blues and earth colours, Lula’s new mural feels like being part of a dream. The mural depicts a woman wearing a white/light blue shirt. She appears blindfolded by a piece of cloth that matches the colour of her shirt while she holds what appears to be delicate inverted cloud trees that emulate the shapes of the trees in the immediate surrounding area of the park. The scene is painted against a soft brown background adorned with illustrations of flowers characterised by a clear linear design in the same tones.
Surfing the painted surface, there was one particular detail that caught my attention, the woman’s watch, that instead of pointing the time, ‘reflects’ the same mood and clouds depicted in the rest of the mural. And it is this particular ‘lack of time’ that I think emphasises the dreamlike character of this work. What do you think?
