I just got a few images of Johannes Mundinger and Elias Errerd‘s new mural painted in Offenburg, Germany in occasion of “Flurstück” , Mundinger’s new solo show at Kunstverein Offenburg.Located within walking distance (2 min) from the exhibition space and titled “Zur Freiheit” (To Freedom), the new mural was painted on the facade of a building where two of Mundinger’s ancestors used to live in at time when they were imprisoned for smuggling a forbidden socialist newspaper to Germany.

The German word “Flurstück” means “field sector” and refers according to the artists, not only to the nature of the mural, but also the exhibition space where“Flurstück” is taking place; eight rooms distributed along a hallway, so visitors are forced to walk through all the rooms where each of them is dedicated to one part or series of Mundinger’s work.

“Flurstück” opens on Friday, December 1st  at Kunstverein Offenburg-Mittelbaden e.V. (Kulturforum an der Weingartenstraße) Amand-Goegg-Str. 2 | 77654 Offenburg, Germany.
