Italian muralist Millo was recently in China where he painted this lovely mural for MurMur project in Shanghai curated by Cao Bin.
Painted last month, the new mural intends to express that need we have to find a way to listen to what is within us, our nature and soul.
‘This work is full of feelings hard to explain, from the nostalgia of the things lived like the spring that leaves his place to autumn, to the regrets of this flying time, till the empathy between the character and the nature, as they are both sharing the same feeling . It’s full of my most poetic thoughts.’
Painted in his characteristic black and white imagery, the mural shows the image of a young woman playing a tress as it was a violoncello. The woman is portrayed sitting on one of the many buildings depicted in this scene that covers the side wall of a six storey building. A few splashes of colours in the form of red leaves activate the composition, adding a certain nostalgia to the scene.
