The Uruguayan muralist duo Colectivo Licuado was recently in Belgium invited to take part in the always great The Crystal Ship street art festival in the coastal city of Ostend for which they painted this stunning mural.

Titled “El equilibrio” (Spanish for “the balance”), the new mural portrays two women. One sitting and holding a model ship while the other stands right beside her.
According to the artists, the mural expresses the meeting of the concepts of storm and calm, the coexistence of different personalities that within us and the search of a balance between them and the coexistence between human beings with a what they call “a wisely changing nature”.

The result is a beautiful mural that expresses the poetic nature of their work, here depicted through the lens of Danish photographer Henrik Haven.

About the artists

Formed five years ago, the duo composed of Uruguayan artists Camilo Núñez and Florencia Durán have firmly established themselves as pioneers in a rapidly growing street art scene with a series of collaborative murals that encompass the cultural and natural context of the neighbourhood they are in.
