“Natura Razionale” is street artist Greg Jager‘s newest work, painted in Athens as part of the Athens Street Art Festival that took place from 24 to 31 July 2018 and for which he created this new mural focusing on an abstract and minimalistic approach.

The mural was painted on the facade of the 6th Gimnasio Nikeas Giorgos Seferis, and is described by the artist as “[I]ridescences that fade from red to blue to black and minimal graphic grafts”, all elements characteristic of his work. The piece interacts with its surroundings by establishing a stark contrasts between the edgy style of the work and the thick foliage of the area.

The Athens Street Art Festival is a project born with the aim of enhancing and supporting European creativity in urban art. Greg Jager’s Greg’s artwork, in particular, has been supported and promoted by the Institute of Italian Culture in Athens.

About the artist
Visual artist (born in 1982), constantly relies on abstract graphics with architectural contexts, making the spatial and material graphic sign. This dialogue becomes a constant evolution and experimentation in the field of post-graffiti.
His work, despite developing mainly in “outdoor” contexts, escapes from the street, where there is an ephemeral and distracted fruition, finding its ideal habitat in places that favor the contemplation of his art.

Athens Street Art Festival
ASAF is an independent and non-profit Festival based in Athens, which aims to promote awareness and social action through European urban art.
ASAF wants to provide an annual platform for European artists, working outside traditional systems. The event aims to stimulate debate by questioning the consolidated notions about what art is and, more importantly, it can be. ASAF aims to provide a relevant, stimulating and dynamic environment for artists, students, gallery owners and the public alike, an event that aims to reflect culture rather than trying to define it.
