Last Friday, on May 4th, was the opening of R.P.M. Revolutions Per Minute a group show featuring the work of five internationally renowned artist like Moneyless, Nelio, 108, Arnaud Liard and Graphic Surgery at PlasticMurs Gallery in Valencia, Spain.

The exhibition gathers a selection of paintings from five artists whose work is based is based on the concept of movement, repetition and their focus on the creative process, hence the title, R.P.M. Revolutions Per Minute.
The selected works suggest the possibility of the creative process understood as a spin, going from one work to the other, facilitating the understanding of the creative process of each piece.

As explained by Vicente Torres, curator and owner of PlasticMurs gallery, when we approach a piece of art it is sometimes difficult to isolate the fragments and the mechanics of the work. Showing works of the same series emphasizes the process and highlights the intrinsic characteristics of the work of art.

“I find it extremely interesting to show works that work in the same way individually or as a whole, offering different readings depending on the point of view from which we observe them.
The linear assembly of the works causes that there is no starting point or end, allowing the visitors to see the work starting from any point.”

R.P.M. Revolutions Per Minute runs through June 15th at the gallery located on Calle Denia 45, Valencia, Spain. Here are a few images from the opening night.
