This interesting sculpture is the work of Spanish artist Elbi Elem created at an abandoned building in Costa Brava, Girona in Spain.

Titled LIBERTY, the installation consists of a white static sculpture suspended in the air, a white moving ghost balancing in the middle of the room, rotating in a way that generates an infinity of points of view, providing the viewer with different shapes and aspects of the piece.

Known for her sculptural work and abstract murals, her work can best be described as an ethereal obsession with movement and balance. It speaks about forms in space, and the movement which is originated through them creating an interplay of curves, lines and planes that give shape to dynamic sculptures characterised by both linear and volumetric forms.
As in the most her work, her creations play with the surrounding architectonic elements of the places where her pieces are made, usually abandoned locations that sharply contrast with the delicacy of her sculptures.

Know until a couple of years ago as ‘Labuenaylamala‘, Barcelona based artist Elbi Elem started making kinetic sculpture in 2002. She specialised in what she calls ‘abstract nature’ with a clear interest in the creation, the movement and the volume of forms in space. She works with a large variety of materials and uses architecture and urban landscapes as a great source of inspiration. Elbi Elem uses 3D installations to make visual effects and create a new work out of their own projections.
